Summer Discipleship Making Intensive

The Summer Discipleship Making Intensive teaches people to share their faith, and helps them get more comfortable doing it.

At Candlewood Church Omaha, we have always focused on helping people get closer to God, and an important component to that has been training people to help others get closer to God. To that end, we put on an exciting and fun, evangelism training program each summer.

In the Summer Discipleship Making Intensive program, we help people develop a heart for the lost, and teach those a part of the program how to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ. We provide various tools and opportunities to practice sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their own personal faith story, which helps participants get more comfortable reaching out and sharing their faith.

Removing some of the barriers that prevent many people from taking part in evangelism (such as not knowing what to say, or not feeling comfortable saying it), prepares believers to be more obedient to Jesus in the Great Commission, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19. It also supports Candlewood Church’s vision of seeing the whole world changed by the Gospel, one person at a time.
