Wayne's life celebration at candlewood church

Wayne’s Life Celebration

A Note From the Pastor

“The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die.”

– Psalm 116:15

As many of you have heard, our friend and brother in the Lord, Wayne Osborn, has gone home to be with the Lord.  As his family and friends grieve over our loss, we are also the most hopeful of all peoples in this world because of what Jesus, our Lord and Savior has accomplished for us.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.”

– I Thessalonians 4:13-14

As we, as a church, come alongside the Osborns and Kim’s family, we all wanted you to be aware of what is being planned for Wayne’s celebration of life.

On Friday, May 10 at 5 PM, we will be moving all the chairs from the auditorium into the new Sprung building. We will be setting up tables and chairs in our current auditorium and multi-purpose room for the service and luncheon that will be held on Saturday, May 11. As the old saying goes, ”Many hands make light work.”

A luncheon will follow Wayne’s Celebration of Life. Wayne’s family is planning 300-325 people to stay for lunch. If you would like to volunteer to bring a casserole, a side or a dessert, please sign up now, by clicking here

Thank you, Candlewood family for being such a support with your generosity of time and treasure. Please be praying for the families as they grieve and yet, celebrate a life that was well lived.

Building together,

The Pastors
