Summer Evangelism Training 2021
Summer Evangelism Training (SET) fosters a Gospel Culture by teaching people to share their faith and by helping them get more comfortable doing so.
At Candlewood Church, we have four core values. One of those core values is the Gospel, that we believe it, live it out, and share it!
This year, we have an exciting and fun evangelism training program planned!
A Year of Opportunities
This year, SET will look a little different. We are offering you two opportunities to choose from:
- Training for Trainers (T4T) June 4, 5
- Vacation Bible School (VBS) July 26-30
Training for Trainers (T4T)
Todd Watkins came to faith in Jesus at Colorado State University. Todd went into full-time ministry to work with college students at CSU. In 2002, he and his wife moved to Amsterdam, the Netherlands and lived there seven years as missionaries and church planters. Currently he and his family are on mission in Austin, TX. Their vision is to win the nations to Christ through Austin. Their focus is reaching the lost, multiplying disciples, and multiplying simple churches.
We are excited to welcome Todd Watkins to speak at Candlewood Church for this year’s Summer Evangelism Training. If you are interested in learning some simple tools in how to share your faith or gain more practice, this is a great opportunity for you in order to help lead people to Christ! We will be discussing the tool, T4T.
Training for Trainers (T4T) is an evangelism tool that provides you with the knowledge to make disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). Join us June 4, 5 at Candlewood Church to learn more about starting conversations that transition to the Gospel, how to share a 15 second testimony, how to share the Gospel in an easy way and more!

Saturday, June 5
- 9:00am – Reproducible Tools for Discipleship
- 12:00pm – Lunch, box lunch provided, please remember to social distance at Candlewood Church
- 1:00pm – Outreach, Sending Out in Pairs
This year, SET will be in person and via live stream. Please RSVP whether you are planning to attend in person or online!
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS Rocky Mountain Railway is happening this July at Candlewood Church!
Monday, July 26, 2021 – Friday, July 30,2021
6:00pm – 8:00pm
VBS is for elementary school aged children, entering K-6th grade. Doing a Vacation Bible School will make a difference in Omaha because
- Children will hear and understand the Gospel
- Families will be supported
- The Omaha community will be served
Kids will experience an awesome week full of games, crafts, Bible lessons, and the love of Jesus. More information and how to sign up is coming soon!
Additional Questions
We exist to be difference makers in our city! Be a difference maker this summer by participating in at least one of these amazing opportunities to share the Gospel with the lost in our community.
