Plans of the Godly – A Note From the Pastor

“The plans of the godly are just; the advice of the wicked is treacherous.  The words of the wicked are like a murderous ambush, but the words of the godly save lives.  The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.” Proverbs 12:5-7

An encouragement for me today as I read these words out of Proverbs.  The plans of the godly are just, the words of the godly save lives, the family of the godly stands firm.  What a season of change we are in and right in the midst of it all, God is our Rock, our Refuge, our Fortress and our Firm Foundation.  It is incredible watching the world and their reaction to this change that is affecting everyone on the face of this earth. Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-27

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

The whole world is experiencing rains, floods and wind that is beating against our homes.  These are times in which we look at our foundation and thank God that He is right here with each one of us.  Praying for Candlewood Church in general but if you have specific prayers or needs, please respond and we will join you in seeking God.  It looks like spring has arrived, enjoy God’s creation.
