Parenting Conference 2020: Radical Parenting

At Candlewood Church Omaha, we are excited to announce this year’s Parenting Conference taking place at our sister church in Lincoln, NE.

When: Saturday, March 21, 2020 | 9am – 3pm

Where: Sower Church 2640 R St. Lincoln, NE 68503

Parenting is a blessing and a privilege. If we are also being honest, it can very well be overwhelming, unexpected, humbling, challenging, refining, faith-filled, exhausting, interesting, and maybe cause you to sigh every once in a while.

No one said parenting would be easy. It takes work, dedication, perseverance, allowing you to be desperate for God for help and guidance, especially as your parenting in this day and age will likely look different from our society’s style of parenting. It may be, dare we say, “radical.”

Radical Parenting

As society constantly tells us what is important in parenting, what we should and shouldn’t value in raising our children, God’s Word has different ideas. This year, Sower Church will host a parenting conference to dig into the Bible to see what God values in children and set goals for us to aim for in our parenting.

We hope you can join us this year for a one-day parenting conference with guest speakers Josh and Krista Whitney from The Rock Church.

About The Speakers: Josh and Krista Whitney

Josh has been a pastor at The Rock Church in Utah since 2006, working for five of those years as a bi-vocational pastor and engineer. Born in Iowa, raised in Colorado, he gravitated further west after graduating from Colorado State University and marrying his college sweetheart, Krista. They are about to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.  They are blessed with five amazing kids, ages 8-16. One in high school, one in junior high, and three in home school. Josh loves being with his family, watching movies, working on house projects and hiking in the great state of Utah.
