National Day of Prayer at Candlewood Church

Join us May 2nd at 7:00pm at Candlewood Church in Omaha, NE for the National Day of Prayer. We will unite in worshiping God in song, and praying to God throughout the evening. We will be praying in large and small groups, led by Candlewood pastors and other church leaders.

“There is no great movement of God that has ever occurred that does not begin with the extraordinary prayer of God’s people.” – Dr. Ronnie Floyd

Prayer Changes Lives

Prayer is a mighty tool that God uses to change people and circumstances. So on the first Thursday of May Candlewood Church Omaha will host a prayer meeting to ask God to accomplish his will in our midst, to capture the hearts of the people in our cities, in our country and in the world, enabling us to love others.

2019 National Day of Prayer Theme

The 2019 National Day of Prayer theme comes from the thirteenth chapter of the Gospel of John where Jesus discloses his will for believers everywhere to,

“Love one another. Just as I have loved you.” – John 13:34.

It’s a short verse that is easy to gloss over by itself. But when read in the context of the Gospel of John, in light of the way Christ supernaturally loved us, this verse cuts to the core of God’s will for believers in 2019: it is to radically love the body of Christ, and to radically love those in the world, while being separate from it.

This is why at this event at Candlewood Church on May 2nd we want to unite with others locally and ask God for a great movement in our world. Our desire is to see Christ’s supernatural love become tangible and make a great impact in the lives of believers and in the world around us.

Join Us For The National Day of Prayer

We have confidence that this is the specific will of God for our church today. To gather together to ask God for the supernatural love Christ provides, then to simply reflect that very love into the lives of those around us.

So come join us May 2nd to simply and humbly pray to God for this love in our lives so that we may change the world with it.
