A Note From the Omaha Pastor
At Candlewood Church in Omaha, NE our Omaha Pastor team likes to keep you up-to-date! Read the latest note from our pastor below.
Exodus 4:10 “But Moses pleaded with the Lord, ‘O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though You have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.’”
As I was reading today, this verse stood out to me and I wondered how many times have I made excuses or in my heart debated with God with what He is asking of me?
When God asks something of us, we need to respond like the prophet Isaiah, “Here am I, send me.” God will never ask us to do, to go, to speak without supplying us with all we need. As Paul said, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
It is very normal to be scared, intimidated, even nervous when we step out in faith and become Ambassadors for Christ. But without stepping out in faith, we will never experience the power, the peace, and the very presence of God’s Spirit within us.
May God help us to be His mouthpieces in what ever opportunities we find ourselves.
