At Candlewood Church, the mission of the Candlewood Kids ministry is to help equip parents in their pursuit of pointing their children towards Jesus. Below are a few exciting changes and upcoming events happening in this ministry.
September 8 – no Sunday school
September 15 Pep Rally– Ages 3-4 in the small classroom and ages 5-11 in our NEW Candlewood Education Room! Send your student in their favorite football fan attire!
Starting September 22– 3 classrooms instead of 2! Sunday school will continue to be during the message during church but will be located in our new Candlewood Education Room, as well as the small classroom.
- Adventurers– (ages 3-4, located in the small classroom)
Kids will adventure through the Bible to gain knowledge and truth. Class time will include a Bible story, activity, and playtime.
- Discoverers– (ages 5-6, located in the Northwest corner of the Candlewood Education Room)
Kids will grow deeper in their discovery of God’s love for them. Class time will include a Bible story, craft or activity, and playtime.
- Explorers– (ages 7- 11, located in the Candlewood Education Room)
Kids will explore what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Class time will include listening to testimonies from church members, large group teachings, small group discussions, and game time.
Christmas Program – Save the date! SUNDAY December 15 at 6:30 pm – the youth of our church will be using their musical gifts to share why we have JOY during Christmas! Practices will begin in November during normal Sunday school time.
Celebration Sundays – starting in January, our Discoverers and Explorers will come together on the FIRST SUNDAY of the month for a time of worship, listening to testimonies, and celebration of God’s great love for us!
Memory Master – the mission of the Candlewood Kids ministry is to help equip parents in their pursuit of pointing their children towards Jesus. One way we would like to do that by helping parents put God’s word in their child’s heart! Kara VanSchooneveld is heading up a NEW program to encourage kids to memorize God’s word! More details to come!
Check in-out process- please be patient as we work through streamlining this process with the new space. We know it is a long walk, but we will do the best we can to get your student checked in and have you back in the service before the message starts!
