Challenging Days – A Note From the Pastor

We are living in some challenging days.  Anxiety, worry, fear and even panic can dictate people’s lives when we have such uncertainty in our country and in our world.

Once again, God’s Word becomes our source of strength, confidence and hope.  These are days in which God’s living book brings order to the chaos, calm in the storm and light in this world’s darkness.

A set of verses that gives me great comfort in these days is Philippians 4:6-8, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Help us, Lord, to keep our focus on You.

As a church, we have had to adjust our current schedule and as we look ahead: we have cancelled all activities as a church other than individual small groups and bible studies.

We will continue to keep the Candlewood family updated with information that may affect our church during these challenging days.

Keep praying, Church.  God is on the throne and we are loved by Him.  Incredible, Amazing – God is with us.

Please go to our website if prayers or needs are warranted, and we will respond as quickly as possible as a church.

Building Together,
Rory Whitney
