What is the Bridge Builder Conference All About?

 

Bridge Builder Conferences bring together people who are doing all kinds of cross-cultural ministry both in the U.S. and a good number of other countries. The Bridge Builders West International Student Ministry (ISM) and Missions Conference will help you

• to start or grow an International Student Ministry (ISM)
• learn effective ways to reach an ethnic minority in your city
• and show you places and ways of expanding God’s kingdom in other countries.

 

This year, Candlewood Church Omaha is hosting the Bridge Builders West ISM and Missions Conference.

 

Summary of What to Expect at Bridge Builders West ISM and Missions Conference at Candlewood Church Omaha

 

• May 17, Friday Night 6:00pm – 8:30pm  
  • Doug Brown will be teaching on “The Rest Is the Story” based on the book of Acts.  

 

• May 18, Saturday  
  • 2:00pm – 4:00pm Choose to serve at one of the two Watermelon Olympics. The goal of the Watermelon Olympics, which is a free event for families with field day type games, is to make new friendships and build long-lasting partnerships in these communities.

 

• • • UNO American & International Student Watermelon Olympics – Elmwood Park – 808 S 60th St
    • Community Watermelon Olympics for all ages – Norris Middle School – 2235 S 46th St

 

• • 5:30pm – 7:45pm Invite your new friends from the Olympics to supper. After enjoying a good meal, we will present the winning teams their Watermelon Olympic Medals and have a few worship songs mixed with a few testimonies of God’s redemptive love. Then Rory Whitney, one of the Omaha pastors, will present the Good News of Jesus Christ at Candlewood Church Omaha, 5050 F Street.

 

 

• May 19, Sunday

 

• • Attend the church service at Candlewood Church followed by lunch
